My journey to becoming a maker began as a child watching my Mom, who also enjoyed sewing and crafting handmade creations. Coming from a small town in Ohio, the 4H Club gave me the opportunity to play with my creativity even further. I've enjoyed many different crafts, but I seem to always come back to sewing. Maybe because it brings me closer to my sweet Momma.

I've stitched love into every quilt I made for my family and prayed over every mask I made during the Pandemic. So many of my projects have special meaning, like using Grandpa's old shirts in a quilt or making masks for a grieving family to wear to a loved one's funeral. (Prayers and tears were woven into every stitch of those masks.)

I have learned that life is about making memories with loved ones and those close to us. But, I also felt compelled to do something more so Charlie and Bea was born and has become the gift that fills my passion for giving back and creating.

I always have you, my customer, in mind as I search for the perfect colors and patterns that you will love. Knowing you'll cherish your new items for years to come warms my heart. 

You might be wondering; why the name "Charlie and Bea" for my company. Charlie was the name of our first sweet family puppy, and Bea was a childhood nickname given to me by my little sisters. They couldn't pronounce Debbie but got the Bea part down. And yes I am an Aunt Bea too, but no Opie or Sheriff Andy in our family.
